Erin, the last time we talked, you said you were dealing with some health issues that you were not ready to talk about. I am so sorry you are going thru this. All my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family throughout this battle. Keep your head up and you WILL beat it. You are one of the strongest people I know. Love you and miss you!

This site is fabulous! It is wonderful that in the midst of dealing with this challenge, you both are reaching out to others. What amazing strength and generous spirit!

Erin - Andi has told me so much about you. It's great to finally 'meet' you and your beautiful family. Your support group is amazing, and doing an outstanding job of educating us about this condition. Best wishes and prayers as you continue your battle with psoriatic arthritis.

Hello, Erin, I'm remembering back to when I was first diagnosed AFTER THE BIRTH OF MY CHILD! That was 30 years ago. That was back when PsA didn't have a name. I was MTX for 18 years, but thank God, on my path to "wellness" (which led me down many paths) I discovered one true thing for me. It was the book called the Fungus link by Doug Kaufmann. I've got a link to an article below for you if you want to check it out. I didn't want to treat my symptoms. For one decade my prayer to God was let me live long enough to raise my babies. That was 30 years ago. http://www.knowthecause.com/Newsletter/NewsletterArticles/tabid/57/ArticleType/ArticleView/ArticleID/77/Default.aspx

Erin, Have you tried Humira? I was on methotrexate, arava, and vioxx for about 5 years when my liver functions starting going haywire. About that time Humira was released for use. It has been a Godsend! I was told it would take about 2 weeks to be able to tell a difference...I could tell a difference in 2 hours! My psoriatic arthritis was diagnosed in 1999. I still have moments when I overdo things but, for the most part, I am doing well and able to maintain my ability to work and be active in my daughter's life. Hope this helps.
